王锡良先生，室名“五尺园“，原籍安徽省黔县，1922年2月生于景德镇。12岁随叔父王大凡（”珠山八友“之一）学绘瓷画，1954年进入轻工业部陶瓷工业科学研究所从事陶瓷美术创作研究。1959年被首批授予“陶瓷美术家”，1979年被轻工业部授予“中国工艺美术大师”称号，为景德镇首位获此殊荣者。1992年享受国务院颁发的“政府特殊津贴”。系中国美术协会会员，景德镇书画院院长，景德镇珠山画院名誉院长。作品有《太平窑》、《革命摇篮井冈山》、《老树开花花更红》等。
王锡良的作品极具收藏价值，早年即流传海外，颇受收藏家之青睐，每以重金收藏。香港、美国、印尼、新加坡等国家和地区均有他的作品收藏。
《见瓷如面》栏目组评价他：“先生是一个时代的标志，更是陶瓷艺术的一座永恒的丰碑。”1959年，他创作的《革命摇篮井冈山》被陈列于人民大会堂，成为了第一位作品陈列于人民大会堂的陶瓷大师。上世纪80年代，他为中国出口创汇近7亿人民币，据相关资料，1980年，中国的外汇储备也只有12亿美元。如此辉煌的过往，足以载入史册。
Mr. Wang Xiliang, born in February 1922 in Guizhou County, Anhui Province, with his roommate name "Wuchiyuan", studied porcelain painting with his uncle Wang Dafan (one of the "Eight Friends of Zhushan") at the age of 12. In 1954, he joined the Ceramic Industry Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry to engage in ceramic art creation research. In 1959, he was awarded the first batch of "Ceramic Artists" and in 1979, he was awarded the title of "Chinese Arts and Crafts Master" by the Ministry of Light Industry, becoming the first person in Jingdezhen to receive this honor. In 1992, he enjoyed the "government special allowance" issued by the State Council. He is a member of the China Art Association, the president of Jingdezhen Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and the honorary president of Jingdezhen Zhushan Painting Academy. His works include Taiping Kiln, Jinggang Mountains, the cradle of revolution, and Old Trees Blooming and Blooming.
Wang Xiliang's works have great collectible value and have been circulating overseas since his early years. They are highly favored by collectors and are often collected with great value. His works are collected in countries and regions such as Hong Kong, the United States, Indonesia, and Singapore.
The column group of "Seeing Porcelain Like a Face" commented on him: "Mr. Chen is a symbol of an era, but also an eternal monument of ceramic art." In 1959, his "Cradle of Revolution Jinggang Mountains" was displayed in the Great Hall of the People, becoming the first ceramic master whose works were displayed in the Great Hall of the People. In the 1980s, he earned nearly 700 million RMB for China's exports. According to relevant information, in 1980, China's foreign exchange reserves were only 1.2 billion US dollars. Such a glorious past is enough to be recorded in history.
