Zhu Yaokui, whose ancestral home is Suzhou, comes from an art family. Famous contemporary Chinese artist, outstanding art educator, one of the founders of art education for ethnic minorities in China, and pioneer of private art and design education in China. Its artistic forms are diverse, with oil paintings, lacquer paintings, sculptures, and murals as the main forms. Professor Zhu Yaokui came from an art family, and his father Zhu Shijie was one of the early Chinese art educators and oil painters, which had a decisive impact on him as an artist. In 1948, he joined Suzhou Art College and studied oil painting under the guidance of Yan Wenliang. Later, he was guided by Liu Haili's artistic ideas. Graduated from Nanjing Academy of Arts in 1953. The good family art atmosphere and the careful guidance of art masters have laid a solid foundation for Professor Zhu Yaokui's professional qualities. Both his father Zhu Shijie and his mentors Yan Wenliang and Liu Haili who studied oil painting belong to the first generation of Chinese oil painters. Mr. Yan Wenliang is a famous Chinese oil painter and art educator, and one of the early pioneers of oil painting who studied in Europe. Mr. Liu Haisu is an outstanding modern painter and art educator, both of whom are pioneers in the history of Chinese oil painting. They not only brought exquisite oil painting techniques to Mr. Zhu Yaokui, but also the spirit of dedication to art education.
