Chinese horse culture has a long and rich history. As early as the Xia and Shang dynasties over 3000 BC, Chinese people began to domesticate horses. Over time, horses have gradually become important carriers of warfare, transportation, agriculture, and competitive activities. In the long history, many famous horses have emerged and become brilliant treasures of Chinese horse culture. From the perspective of the development of horse theme in Chinese painting, there are special Pommeled Horse painting branches in the paintings of all previous dynasties, as well as painters famous for painting horses. These images of galloping horses reflect the common characteristics of horses and are an artistic expression of the ancient people's admiration and worship of horses. The speed and strength of galloping horses are used to symbolize the vigorous vitality and heroic image of advancing bravely. Chinese horse painting art mainly expresses the characteristics of horses and shapes different images of horses by highlighting imagery. It incorporates horse painting art into the cultural category, injects the painter's life and emotions, emphasizes artistic aesthetics, and thus forms the intentional characteristics of Chinese horse painting art. It also highlights the strong modeling ability and ink language of traditional Chinese horse painting themes with unique national artistic characteristics, greatly enhancing the vitality of Chinese painting and reflecting the people's lives and social status in different historical periods. It is a true portrayal of the changes in various historical periods and levels of China.

Recently, our company has collected a painting of Jing Hongyan's "Twelve Steeds", which is 418cm long and 35cm wide. Mr. Jing Hongyan's horse has a majestic momentum, with the essence and energy blending in stillness and movement. It expresses the group's spirit and vigor with an individual's vigorous and spirited demeanor, resulting in extraordinary magnanimity and full spirit. Another important feature is the prominent character "write" in the process of drawing horses. Although his horses do not overlook the accuracy of structural dynamics, they weaken the proportion of "lines" in the brushstrokes. No matter what form of horse he painted, he always depicted it with swift and flowing lines, which were vigorous and free spirited like cursive script. While conveying the spirit of the horse, he also expressed the voice of the times and the inner emotions of the painter. In addition to depicting the image and characteristics of a galloping horse, the Twelve Steeds also symbolizes some profound thoughts and concepts. Firstly, the steed depicted in the painting represents qualities such as loyalty, bravery, wisdom, and kindness, and is a symbol of the values that people admire. Secondly, the image of a galloping horse in the painting also reflects the cultural characteristics and historical background of different regions and ethnic groups, with cultural diversity and historical significance. In addition, the horses in the painting symbolize the spirit of pursuing freedom and promoting individuality, expressing people's longing and pursuit for freedom and individuality. The Twelve Steeds Painting is not only an exquisite painting, but also a work full of meaning and connotation. It not only showcases Lang Shining's superb painting skills, but also expresses people's thinking and pursuit of values, cultural diversity, and personality pursuit.
